Chapter 1110 Batman: The Dragon Has Gone Mad
Cosmic tuning fork.
As the horde of heroes were freed one by one from their swinging state by the old bat from the main universe, they gathered together in a chaotic manner, asking each other questions and uttering voices full of doubts.
Heroes and villains—most of the villains and superheroes in the DC multiverse who can be gathered together are brought together here by the main universe's Batman.
The crowd was densely packed, a sea of black.
Over a thousand different versions of Superman and Batman, and villains in all sorts of forms, such as Clayface, Mr. Freeze, Giant Woman, and Parasite —
There's also the kind grandmother from Apokolips—Big Bad, a version from a parallel universe, and a version from the main universe, Mr. Miracle—
"Heroes, or villains?"
The Batman from the main universe, clad in silver-white armor, stood high above everyone on a natural raised platform of the cosmic tuning fork. Beside him stood Wonder Woman from the main universe, Wonder Woman from Chen Tao's world, and Lex Luthor from Chen Tao's world.
"Now that you have awakened, it means that you chose to protect this world in the face of the cosmic torment that challenged your hearts. I am glad that everyone chose to protect this world instead of destroying it."
This is a lie. Unbeknownst to Chen Tao, Batman used a cosmic tuning fork to summon a large number of powerful superpowered beings from parallel universes. However, this summoning does not distinguish between whether the other party is righteous or evil; it only asks whether their power is strong.
Therefore, a large number of creatures from the Dark Multiverse were also summoned along with them, including many former members of Barbatos' Dark Legion.
Among this vast and diverse population, there are naturally some so depraved that they would defect to the enemy upon waking up. So now, after the Chief Judge Bat has identified them through the Multiverse Tower, they are all still hanging there as human batteries, dreaming a beautiful dream from which they will never wake up.
They will continuously provide energy for the cosmic tuning fork, which is the only value of these ruthless villains. Not killing Iron doesn't mean the main universe's Batman is merciful; escaping death might bring even more agonizing torment.
"I bet you're thinking I'll need your help to save the world—"
The main universe's bat said, "But the truth is quite the opposite; I want you to destroy it. Earth is the core of the multiverse, second only to Superman in importance."
Bruce Wayne, the Batman of the main universe, paused slightly: "We—we have temporarily lost Clark."
He emphasized that it was "temporary".
"With the core Earth of the main universe and Superman destroyed, no one can freely transmit crisis energy anymore. The fifth-dimensional mischievous creature has helped us create an exact replica of the main universe's Earth. All living beings on the main universe's Earth will be instantly transported to the identical fake Earth before they can even react. But regarding the main universe's Earth—we still need to destroy it ourselves. The reversibility of fifth-dimensional magic requires the mischievous creature to maintain it. All changes to reality are reversible, but when facing truly dangerous enemies, this reversibility will become a fatal flaw."
As Batman spoke in the main universe, a great commotion broke out below. It's impossible to please everyone, and countless heroes were asking each other questions, raising objections, and expressing doubts. But the question asked most often was the same one.
"Bruce, I don't quite understand. Who might our enemy be? Perpetua? Or Dr. Manhattan?"
"No, I think so."
The main universe's Batman said, "We're probably facing Batman Dragon Chen Tao."
When the gorilla Grud woke up, this gorilla from a parallel universe looked completely bewildered.
It saw Lex Luthor looking at it with a serious expression.
"What's wrong? We're here—"
Grodd looked down and found himself sitting safely in his seat, with the ever-changing universe outside the window.
Now inside a spaceship.
"You succeeded, Luther! We built a spaceship in that parallel universe, and it can even travel through space!"
The gorilla Grodd asked, "What do we do next? Continue with the original plan?"
The original plan refers to the one Lex Luthor intended to execute, but the World Forger seized control of it. This plan involved abandoning an entire history of the DC multiverse, with the Lex Luthor of the main universe becoming the sole ultimate god of that real world. Gorilla Grodd and Black Manta would then become apostles under the god, helping Luthor control that world.
Then the gorilla Grodd heard Luther say, "No, I don't want to hear that."
"?"
Luther pulled out a microphone from somewhere and almost shoved it into the gorilla's mouth.
Sing for me.
"What should we sing?"
"Sing."
"No, but I can't sing it right now—"
"You have to sing, even if you can't!"
Luther seemed somewhat stressed, appearing even more manic than when facing the zombies. The gorilla Grud was startled by Luther's attitude and instinctively turned to look at Black Manta. He saw Black Manta remove his fly helmet, revealing a grave expression on his scarred black face.
"What happened?"
"Greek Grud asked, bewildered."
"It's simple, Gerud. Latest intelligence."
"That's what Black Manta Ray said."
"Batman: Dragon has gone mad."
The gorilla Grud opened its mouth.
What does "Batman: Dragon is insane" mean?
"Literally," Black Manta said, "There's no longer any [original plan]. Batman Dragon went down the path we were originally meant to take."
He stated, "Batman Dragon wants to become the only god in the DC multiverse."
Groud the gorilla's mind went blank. He could understand every word Black Manta said, but he didn't understand what it meant.
He began, "How do you know Batman Dragon—"
Then he shut his mouth.
Because Black Manta pressed two buttons on the control panel, several parallel universes on different timelines immediately appeared on the large screen in split-screen mode.
Each parallel universe is teeming with hordes of zombies.
This doesn't seem special; they just escaped from one of these universes.
"Batman Dragon has gone mad." Then he heard Luthor say, "He's deliberately expanding my zombie creations, willing to inflict more disaster and suffering like I have, to seize more crisis power and counter-crisis power!"
Originally, Luthor was the villain, but now Batman: Dragon has done all the villainous things that Luthor was supposed to do, so what is he supposed to do?
The gorilla Grodd's eyes widened; he finally understood, before he could even react to Luther's words.
The zombies aren't the point; the point is—
As the image zoomed in, the gorilla Grud finally saw the zombies clearly, and then felt a cold sweat break out on his back.
Because every zombie had a smile on its face.
A vicious and cruel laugh!
