Chapter 477: New Franchise?!
Immediately after Lin Xuan Qi swallowed the pill, he felt his senses heighten and he could easily feel the Five-Element Qi that was in the surroundings.
He knew what it meant and he quickly took out a Five-Element Stone from his toad statue artifact.
Lin Xuan Qi placed the Five-Element Stone onto his palm and sat in lotus position.
A surge of Five-Element Qi came into his dantian from the Five-Element Stone the very next moment.
It took him half the effort it did previously and when the Five-Element Stone was empty of its Five-Element Qi, he took out another one from his toad statue.
He didn’t know how long he was in the state of absorbing the Five-Element Qi but it was a tremendous leap for him and he could feel that his dantian was slowly expanding some more.
If his estimate was right, he figured that he would be able to break through to the next stage of the Foundation Establishment Level.
A feat that few could even match.
It would have taken years for other cultivators to do what he had achieved so far but it only took him months.
What was lacking was probably the lack of money for the artifacts and precious items.
But that too was getting resolved with more of the businesses bringing in money for him.
When Lin Xuan Qi felt the effects of the pill wearing off, he stopped what he was doing and opened his eyes.
The surroundings were now covered in an amber glow of the evening sun with beams of the sunlight coming through the windows.
It was already dinner time in the blink of an eye.
Lin Xuan Qi kept the remaining four pills and got out from the lab.
"Master Lin, dinner is ready." Xiu was on her way to inform him when she bumped into him.
Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head at her and made his way to the dining hall.

When he got to the dining hall, everyone was already waiting for him.
Auntie Sue was also there by the table.
She bowed at him and said, "I’ve whipped up some dishes for you to have a try.
"They are easy to make and tasty at the same time.
"Let me know if they are what you want."
Lin Xuan Qi saw that there were several dishes made from the rice noodles, rice cakes and rice paper rolls on the table.
He sat down and picked up his chopsticks to try the first dish.
It was rice noodles with chicken soup sprinkled with some pieces of meat and vegetables.
Lin Xuan Qi slurped some of the noodles and they were smooth and chewy with the fragrance of rice filling his mouth.
The tastiness of the chicken soup that drenched the surface of the rice noodles added to the flavor and it was in perfect harmony.
He had a mouthful of the soup and the added Lin Clan Taste Transcendent Essence gave it an extra punch.
Even the pieces of meat did their job with the saltiness from the soy sauce that they were marinated with.
"Perfect." Lin Xuan Qi glanced at Auntie Sue and gave his verdict.
Auntie Sue was glad that he liked it.
She gave him a wide smile and gestured with her hand, "Try the other dishes."
That was what he did and he went for the rice cake cooked with a sauce.
The rice cake was chewy and sweet.
It was complemented by the savory sauce that was made mostly of soy sauce.
The contrasting taste from the rice cake and soy sauce worked surprisingly well together.
"Nice, this is great too." Lin Xuan Qi said and he moved on to the next dish.
The next dish was rice paper rolls filled with some chopped meat and vegetables.
There was also some sweet soy sauce by the side for him to dip the rolls in and he did so before he put the roll into his mouth.
The rice paper roll was thin but still chewy enough to be felt and its taste with the fragrance of rice accentuated the meat and vegetables inside the roll.
The sweetness from the sweet soy sauce helped bring the taste into a unified flavor and he was also impressed with it.
"This is also so good." Lin Xuan Qi said and Auntie Sue felt that it was mission accomplished.
But it wasn’t.
"I will have to ask you to teach some of the workers how to cook these dishes later on." He said and Auntie Sue was surprised by what she had heard.
"Yes... Master Lin." She didn’t know what he was up to and she was worried that she was about to be replaced.
Lin Xuan Qi saw her worried expression and said, "Don’t worry too much.
"This is for my new business venture.
"I would in fact give you a raise if you do well for it."
"A raise?"
"Yes, I need to be able to let them master these dishes with the least effort." Lin Xuan Qi said.
He needed to be able to operate the food stalls or eateries with similar standards to the franchises he was used to where he came from.
If he could make it work, he wouldn’t mind letting others join and be his franchisees.
"I will certainly try my best." Auntie Sue nodded her head vigorously and bowed at him before she left.
She had a bright smile on her face as she had never expected to be able to play a part in one of his businesses and have the opportunity to get a raise.
"Try out the dishes." Lin Xuan Qi gestured for the others to try out the dishes that Auntie Sue had made.
The others dug in and they too were pleasantly surprised by what Auntie Sue had managed to come up with.
Soon, there was the non-stop slurping of the noodles and the sound of them munching on the rice cakes and rolls all around him.
Lin Xuan Qi felt great with the atmosphere and he took a glance at Xue Cong, Yue Jie, Yue Xin and Liu Shi Shi.
