Chapter 1085: The Feeling of Being Valued
Chapter 1085: The Feeling of Being Valued
Rachel Sherman, with tears in her eyes, turned slightly at the sound of the babies crying and saw nurses cleaning and dressing them.
This moment, she had imagined countless times. The two babies arriving safely brought a sense of happiness that nothing else could replace.
With tears brimming, all the hardships and fatigue vanished... Rachel’s belly was flat, the doctor was completing the final procedures, and the babies were healthy, as could be seen from the color of the placenta.
"Rachel, you’re amazing." Faye Turner was deeply moved, sitting beside the operating table, witnessing this crucial moment, and understanding the difficulties of motherhood even more.
"Faye, thank you for being with me." With her there, Rachel was indeed less afraid.
The two tiny babies, now dressed, were brought before Rachel by two nurses—
"Mrs. Fletcher, let me show you the babies first. We’ll take them out in a moment to give your family the good news. They’re probably quite anxious by now."
The nurse was a gentle young girl, her voice sweet.
Rachel looked at the tiny, red, wrinkled little lives brought over by the nurse, her heart full of love and tenderness.
She gently raised her hand and stroked the babies’ foreheads. They were no longer crying, with their eyes closed, in a deep sleep.
Rachel’s lips curled up, her face radiating joy and happiness, "Take them to show Daddy and Grandma and Grandpa."
"Sure, Mrs. Fletcher."
The two nurses carried the babies out to share the good news, the delivery room doors opened, and hearing the news that mother and babies were safe, The Fletcher were already overjoyed.
"Are they boys or girls?" Mrs. Fletcher held the babies, reluctant to let go, but curious to ask.
"One boy and one girl, they’re twins." The nurse was filled with joy, grinning widely.
Upon hearing they were twins, the happiness and joy instantly doubled! Everyone in The Fletcher family beamed with smiles!
"Oh my! Twins!!"
"That’s wonderful! Now, June not only has a brother but a sister too!"
The chance of having twins is rare among twins, something every family hopes for, but few people see their dream come true.
Chase Fletcher, as the father, didn’t rush to hold the babies, even though June had already been taken over by Kylie; his hands were empty.
He nervously asked the nurse, "How’s my wife doing? When can I see her?"
"Mrs. Fletcher is fine, and there are no wounds that require stitching, she’ll be out soon, no need to worry."
Another nurse brought the babies over, "Mr. Fletcher, please hold the babies, the room is arranged, just as you requested, it’s a private room."
"Okay, thank you."
"You can wait for her in the room, she’ll be out soon."
"Okay, okay."
The two nurses returned to the delivery room, Chase looked at the baby in his arms, a surge of joy filled his heart.
"Help Grandma to the room to rest for a bit," Mr. Fletcher said to Ben Fletcher, "We’ll be over shortly."
"Alright, Grandma, shall we?" Ben Fletcher supported the elderly lady.
But the elderly lady looked at the tightly closed delivery room door, still somewhat reluctant to move, wanting to wait for Rachel to come out.
"Ah, Grandma, come on already!" Kylie Fletcher, holding June in one arm, linked her other arm through the elderly lady’s, "There’s so many people waiting, my sister-in-law might feel pressured. Coming out to see a dark line of people."
With her granddaughter saying this, Granny Hughes started to turn away, and Kylie followed, "Grandma, how’s your health recently?"
"You little rascal, have you found a boyfriend yet? You’re not young anymore, when will you settle your marriage?" Granny Hughes grabbed her, wanting an answer, "I heard you fancy a scholar? How’s it going? Have you won him over?"
