Even a small river with a low water volume of less than 1 meter per second can drive this generator by building a small dam of a few meters or ten meters high to form a headwater, although the power is not large, ranging from a few kilowatts to about 50 kilowatts at the limit.
However, this kind of water flow generator can be found everywhere, and it is easy to move, which is the biggest advantage. It is suitable for providing power to local small-scale mechanical processing points and mechanical equipment, such as small machine tools, without relying on fuel and coal, with no pollution and low detectability.
This provides the possibility for power supply to the vast base areas across the country. It is much more practical than knocking down the Japanese blockhouses and robbing diesel generators!
Li Jixiang decided to serialize and standardize this series of water flow generators. The key to overcome is the independent manufacturing of the motor core. For 50 kilowatts to 500 kilowatts, the design principle of the 30,000-kilowatt mixed-flow water turbine generator provided by Ren Zhong can be studied.
Li Jixiang also observed the point of building the dam. If a dam more than 20 meters high is built across the narrow place that Ren Zhong is interested in, it is feasible to build a 500-kilowatt mixed-flow hydropower station here based on the water flow of the Yan River.
The Yan River has sufficient water to drive this power station to operate at full load for a long time. With this hydropower station, the power supply of the Dawn Research Institute will not be lacking for at least a foreseeable period of time.
